The Union Club was formed so the business professionals of the city could have a place to gather and meet with their peers to discuss and share new ideas. This remains the Club's main focus as many of the city's top business people from varying disciplines gather to socialize and discuss their ideas. These individuals represent valuable contacts both professionally and socially.
Formed in 1884 and operating at its current location since 1890, the Victorian showplace that is the Union Club has been and continues to be an integral part of the business and social community of Saint John. The Club is run by its Members, for its Members, to ensure that they get the most out of their club. It is often our Members who are the ones shaping and directing the future of Saint John.
The Union Club welcomes applications for Membership. New Members are normally proposed and seconded by current Members. If you are interested in becoming a Member but do not know any current Members, please submit the application form below or call the Club and we will be happy to speak with you regarding your interest in joining.
MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES AND ANNUAL DUES
Ordinary
An Ordinary Member is one who is at least thirty-five years of age and whose fixed place of residence or chief place of business is within a fifty-mile radius of the Club's premises. $754
Intermediate
An Intermediate Member is one who has not attained the age of thirty years and whose fixed place of residence or chief place of business is within a fifty-mile radius of the Club's premises. $446
Promotional Intermediate Plus
A Member who may be between 31-35 years of age and whose fixed place of residence or chief place of business is within a fifty-mile radius of the Club's premises. $446
Senior
A Senior Member is one who has submitted to the Board of Directors of the Club satisfactory evidence that the individual has attained the age of 65 years. $649
Non-resident
A Non-Resident Member is one whose fixed place of residence and chief place of business are both beyond a radius of fifty miles of the Club's premises. $490
Spousal or Partner
A Spousal or Partner Member is the spouse or partner of an Ordinary Member. $380
Corporate
Regular membership dues are discounted based on the number of Members per Corporation. Please inquire with General Manager for details.
